The 27th of this November is my roommates birthday. Her 'boyfriend' asked me to design a simple gothic faerie for her cake. So this is it. I asked for details. I asked her for what she likes and dislikes. We both love Nightmare Before Christmas and so here this is. I wanted to play with the Sally look. Just for fun. And I think it came out pretty cute.

Hmm. I must be growing fond of the gothic and faerie themes.

Tim Burton fan I am.

My roommate likes to name my sketches after I draw them...

Trinket.

I actually came up with this...I actually like this name, but not so 100% sure to use it on her.

Lovely to see more work from you! I think the awkward position of the arms and the asymmetrical clothing design really emphasize that gothic feel you were going for, as do the spindly antennae (?) curling out beside her tattered wings. Her overall design is a nice blend of Sally and originality. My favorite part is the stylized legs. <3

haha thanks meg. i kinda based the hairstyle from roommates hair. hers is short like that. unfortunately, i found out that they couldnt use her on the cake...i sent it too late...damn it!

Indeed I will. I have about a few lil sketches in my book I will most certainly update when I get the chance. Again, they are Tim Burton related.
